
Sarah Middleton (she/her)
Sarah is a writer originally from Derby. She writes stories about women who break the rules. Sarah trained as an actor at Birmingham Conservatoire and as a librettist with Book, Music & Lyrics. Sarah is an Associated Writer with Middle Child, a recipient of a National Theatre/Peter Shaffer commission and a Peggy Ramsay grant.
She hopes to one day write the libretto for the much-needed Avril Lavigne musical, and her favourite biscuit is custard cream.

Hannah Stone (she/her) is a director and theatre maker who recently co-directed The Trials by Dawn King for Nottingham Playhouse. ★★★★★ “An utterly gripping and powerful production” (East Midlands Theatre)
In 2022 she directed the critically acclaimed SHEWOLVES by Sarah Middleton which toured nationally, performed at Edinburgh Fringe and was transferred to London for a 3 week run at Southwark Playhouse. She is Co-Artistic director of Rebel Sparks (Formerly The Gramophones) which they founded in 2011. The Company have created and toured numerous shows, notably Aidy the Awesome which was commissioned by Leicester Curve and supported by Arts Council England.
Hannah directed a second R&aD of a new play The King Stone by Charlotte East at The National Theatre in 2025 as part of their Generate programme; a haunted love story about toxic masculinity and male mental health. Hannah directed Pinocchio by Sarah Middleton in 2019, which transferred to the Mercury Colchester in 2022.
Hannah was an Associate Artist at Nottingham Playhouse for 3 years where she read scripts on their behalf, was on the ideas submission panel and was a reader for the Phoebe Francis Brown Award.
